#7 : July
This year, my July is spent at a summer camp. I'm teaching cartooning and animation to kids ranging from 6 to 13. It's pretty hectic, but the grounds of the camp are very lovely, and I have a nice view overlooking the outdoor swimming pool. This is a sketch I did on a lunch hour.

#5 Tea
I was in British Columbia for the last two weeks hiking, kayaking, trail biking and generally enjoying the mountains and the ocean. During my vacation, my step mom and I drank gallons of tea. We both have a deep love for rooibos teas, and mulberry leaf tea. David's Tea is our favorite tea shop, soooo many good ones.
These are two tea sketches I drew at my dad's cottage on Savary Island.

#3 Red
Though I'm more interested in colour schemes, instead of any one single colour, I do love reds. You don't need a lot, just a nice pop of red is so eye catching. Especially pared with a cool colour scheme.
So my pencil crayon sketch is of one of my favorite possessions, a scissor and thread spool holder in the shape of a seagull (love!). I picked it up maybe 4 or 5 years ago at a thrift shop in Halifax.

#2 The Owl And The Pussycat
The Owl and the Pussycat went to sea
In a beautiful pea green boat,
They took some honey, and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
'O lovely Pussy! O Pussy my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are,
You are,
You are!
What a beautiful Pussy you are!'
No colour again on this sketch, but I might follow through with this and make a final illustration of it.

#1 Blossoms
Not too many blossoms still on the trees anymore in Toronto. But the cherry blossoms a few weeks ago were very beautiful. My two sketches are of some assorted flowers and weeds and leave.
